The company's policy is based on contributing to sustainable development through all its activities and systematically working to ensure that the company does not contribute to negative impacts on people, society, and the environment. This means that under no circumstances should the company engage in activities that violate fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. Our responsibility includes preventing and addressing negative consequences related to employees, human rights, the environment, corruption, consumers, and corporate governance, which may be linked to the company’s operations, supply chains, and other business relationships.
The Transparency Act, which came into effect in Norway on July 1, 2022, has increased awareness of these issues. The purpose of the law is to promote corporate respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services, as well as to ensure public access to information on how companies handle negative impacts on these areas.
We at Odin are committed to ensuring that fundamental human rights and decent working conditions are respected in our daily operations. These principles are relevant to us in multiple ways—as a corporate citizen, an employer, and a purchaser of goods and services. International standards for human rights and decent working conditions are also a key part of ESG assessments and sustainability considerations in our investment processes. This forms the core of our work within the "S" pillar of ESG.
Our responsible investment guidelines are based on the most important international standards for human rights and due diligence frameworks for responsible business conduct—namely, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct.
