Vigdis M. Almestad

Vigdis Almestad holds a Master's degree in Economics and an MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and is a certified financial analyst from NHH/NFF.

Background and experience

Vigdis joined Odin in January 2016, and in August of the same year, she became the lead manager for ODIN Norge, a position she held until May 2021. She has been the lead manager for ODIN Norden since June 2020.

Vigdis has a broad investment background and 25 years of experience as a fund manager. She has worked as a fund manager at Avanse Forvaltning A/S and Folketrygdfondet, been the Chief Investment Officer for a private investment company, and served as Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Orkla ASA. She has also worked at the Ministry of Finance.

She also managed ODIN USA together with Harald Nissen from the fund's establishment in October 2016 until June 17, 2020.
